Everyone has different thoughts on substrates and soil. Use what works in your microclimate. There is no magical mixture for everyone because everyone has different weather. Japanese pumice, American pumice, Akadama, Kiryu, and Kanuma. No Lava, waste of money to us. You can buy our evergreen mix or individually by the bag. Please ask!
